David Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and now Michael Jackson: all these major artists from the rock and pop scene were the subject of utterly successful exhibitions all over the world. Why is that? Echoing with the Michael Jackson on the Wall exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, leading experts share their experience and look at the issues raised by ‘Pop (Music) Museums’. Speakers include Victoria Broackes (V&A), Dr Nicholas Cullinan (National Portrait Gallery), Clémentine Deroudille , (independent curator), Stéphane Malfettes (Musée National de l’Histoire de l’Immigration) and Nigel Godrich (Producer, Radiohead). Chaired by Eric de Visscher (former director of Musée de la musique in Paris and Visiting Professor, V&A Research Institute).
