The Age of Enlightenment saw a great upheaval of ideas. It was an age of scientific discoveries, a period of intellectual freedom and rationality when thinkers, writers and “natural philosophers” strove to classify the world and spread new, often radical ideas.

From a French perspective, great names like Montesquieu, Voltaire, Diderot or Rousseau immediately come to mind, but we want here to revisit London as a hotbed of ideas and shed light on a brilliant, changing and sometimes complex city at the heart of the intellectual debate.
