The greatest irony about the recruitment industry is that we’re so busy negotiating the work/life balance for our candidates we fail to focus on our own. Early starts, late finishes and the 60 hour week are the norm. But ask yourself the question, is this approach really necessary? Three years ago we decided to rethink the working week at Nicholson, and conducted an experiment and gave everybody in the company Fridays off, permanently! The experiment was a huge success and we’ve enjoyed year on year growth ever since. Nicholson is a specialist technology headhunter, we work with clients ranging from some of the biggest software companies in the world to niche E-commerce start ups. We operate within the eCommerce, Big Data and Enterprise Software markets in the UK and internationally. This clear focus enables us to deliver a truly distinct service built around a genuine understanding of our markets and an unrivalled international knowledge base.
We have ambitious growth plans and we now need experienced Consultants to join our London based technology teams for the UK, French and German markets. We will develop your sales and recruitment skills as well as providing training in retained executive search. We will also develop your knowledge of a specific market, recruiting senior commercial and technical executives for some of the world’s most exciting technology brands.
As Business Development Manager, you will be in charge of:
Developing your business development strategy for your client portfolio in the French market,
Conquer new clients through your prospecting actions,
Identify, contact and qualify your future contractors consultants,
Develop and support technical and commercial offers by proposing innovative solutions,
Follow your consultants on mission (travel in France to provide),
Manage your profit center,
Manage your business activity via a CRM tool.
You need to be prepared to work hard, have a passion for people and business and be a natural networker. If you have that mix, the financial rewards and job satisfaction can be substantial. Ideally you will have had some recruitment or relevant commercial experience, however more importantly is your ability to demonstrate a genuine flare for sales, a determination to succeed and great relationship building skills.
In return you will receive some great training, an excellent basic salary as well as an attractive commission/bonus scheme, great career prospects and don’t forget a 4 day week!
