Meeting Point: Near the main entrance of King’s Cross Station, in front of the Plum + Spilt Milk Restaurant (part of the Great Northern Hotel).
Come and explore the newly-regenerated neighbourhood of King’s Cross St Pancras and discover its industrial heritage. Tickets are available here: https://www.learnartory.com/kings-cross-st-pancras/
Come and feel the full power of the Industrial Revolution at King’s Cross – St Pancras: steam, coal, canals, trains and omnibuses! And as the Victorians did everything on a grand and glorious scale, there will be some sumptuous brickwork too. Sadly, we will not board a train for Hogwarts or Edinburgh, but we will definitely travel through time and discover that this now trendy part of London was, not so long ago, rather unsavoury.
From no-go zone to hip neighbourhood, come and see urban regeneration at work with LearnArtory!
Due to Covid 19, we advise you to:
– Wear a mask for the duration of the walk.
– Respect social distancing.
– Wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitiser.
– If you have symptoms, are self-isolating or if anyone you live with has symptoms, please inform us and do not attend.
Advice to participants:
– Wear ultra-comfortable shoes.
– Check weather forecasts and make sure you have warm and waterproof clothes if necessary. Being cold on a walking tour can spoil the entire experience.
